Wood that is part of the household contents, for example, laminate or furniture. You can drop off this wood at the waste recycling centre free of charge, or it can be collected.

Wood can be dropped off at the waste recycling centre free of charge.

Collection

If you cannot take it to the waste recycling centre, arrange for collection of wood.

Due to other collections, the day you have selected may already be full. Please select a different day.

Costs

Wood can be dropped off at the waste recycling centre free of charge. The wood can also be collected free of charge.

Rules for putting waste out for collection

  • Maximum 2 m3 (per appointment).
  • Bundle smaller pieces with tape or rope.
  • Bundles no longer than 1.50 metres and no wider than 0.5 metres.
  • One person has to be able to lift the bundles.
  • Place the wood in front of your house by the road (not in your garden).

Waste collection starts at 06:00 hours. You may put it out from 21:00 hours the evening before. Prevent additional waste being added to your waste by putting it outside in the morning.

The council will only collect wood that has been presented correctly for collection.

Wood includes

  • cabinet doors (without glass or mirrors)
  • chipboard
  • crates
  • fibreboard
  • hardboard
  • painted wood
  • triplex
  • wooden furniture
  • wooden floor panels or laminate 
  • wooden planks

Wood may include nails, screws or hinges. For safety reasons, avoid protrusions and sharp edges.
