Voting in the European Parliament elections if you are not a Dutch national

The election for the members of the European Parliament will take place on Thursday 6 June 2024. Are you a national of one of the European Union member states? If so, in the Netherlands, you can choose to vote for the Dutch Members of the European Parliament. Do you (also) have the Dutch nationality? If so, you don't have to complete a form. You will automatically be registered as a voter.

Voting in your country of origin

Do you want to vote in your EU country of nationality? Contact the authorities in your country of origin.

Voting in the Netherlands

Do you want to vote in the Netherlands? You have to complete your registration form using your DigiD. If you don't have a DigiD, you can call 14 076.

Conditions:

  • you have the nationality of an EU country
  • you are 18 years or older on 6 June 2024
  • you live in Breda

Register

By completing the registration form, you declare you are not excluded from the right to vote in your country of nationality and that you will only vote in the Netherlands.

You must submit the digital registration form by Tuesday 23 April 2024 at the latest.

If you have already registered to vote in the Netherlands for a previous European Parliament election, you do not have to re-register.

You will receive your voting card a few weeks before the election.
