Opening times of shops
Shops in Breda are allowed to open 7 days a week from 6.00 - 23.00 hours. An exception to this is on 4 May (Remembrance of the Dead), when the shops are allowed to open from 6.00 - 19.00 hours. The council sets these times. Businesses can decide on their own opening hours within the times set by the council.
Opening hours, Sunday opening and evening shopping
Breda is a lovely city to shop in. The main shopping streets are home to the larger retail chains and there are areas with mostly smaller boutiques and specialty shops. On Sundays most of the shops in the centre are open from 12.00 - 17.00 hours. At the retail park specialising in home furnishings and accessories (Woonboulevard), the shops are open from 11.00 - 17.00 hours. During Breda's Singelloop running event (1st Sunday in October), the city centre shops are closed.
