Submit your views on a licence or permit application

If you wish to comment on a decision that the council still has to reach, you can sometimes submit your views. If you are the interested party you can submit your views on a decision about a licence or permit application.

What do you need to do?

  • Submit your views within a certain period. This period is shown on the notification. This must be received by the stated date.
  • You can only submit your views about a decision that the council still has to make. The notification at www.overheid.nl (Dutch), will tell you whether you may submit your views.
  • Submitting your views is a formal procedure. If you have a question or would like to make a comment, please contact the council.

What happens to your views

We will confirm we have received these. When we evaluate the decision that we have to make, we will look at your views. We do not have to take your views into account. You will receive the decision by email, along with a response to your views.

Your views can be shared and made public. Personal data will then be removed, ensuring the submitter remains anonymous.

Submit in writing

 You can also submit your views in writing. This must include:

  • your name and address
  • your telephone number and email address
  • the notification you are responding to
  • your response to the future decision: what would you like to tell the council?
  • your signature

If you don’t agree with the decision taken

If you disagree with a decision that is taken, you can submit an objection.
